rayban overseas.

It's exciting being overseas isn't it?
I'm in New Zealand at the moment, enjoying time with my dad.

Vintage Raybans are the absaloute best present you can have from
your grandma. I'd know.

My birthday was fun and very very silly.
Seven girls, Glee, candy, loud music, an enormous tent = Lot's of fun!

How are you spending your easter break?
Sorry, i'd post more and be alittle more literate and interesting
but a very cute one year old is fighting with the mac for my attention/

superheros.

I realised that petty excuses are probably pretty boring for why I havn't been posting,
so here's my real secret: I'm a superhero by night.
And it's pretty tiring.
You see it all stemmed from this terrible insomnia I had,
and my body reacted badly to the medicines the doctors gave me.
So my mother took me on a big plane to Sweden, where they gave me revolutionary electro-magnetic crystal baths.
You see, the crystals are harvested from a series of small caves on the uppermost cliff-faces of Mt. Kosiosko and sent to Sweden where it is powdered and small amounts are added to natural spring water collected from Fiji.
The crystals are called Sovaren, which is Swedish for pure sleep. Natural gasses from the crystals were omitted when added to water, sending signals to my brain for sleep.
When my therapist lost her husband after a messy divorce, she was rather distraught on the day it all turned upside down. She added too much of the Sovaren powder to my bath and as it had not been thoroughly tested no-one knew what would happen next.
I sat in the bath, trying to catch the steam between my fingertips.
Then the bath grew cold rather rapidly. I ran the hot tap, but the water was suddenly alarmingly hot. I was unable to get out of the bath in time, and fumes from the Sovaren overpowered me and I lost consiousness.
When I came to I was in hospital; being treated for severe burns and a concussion as I had hit my head on the side of the bath.
Thankfully my therapist heard my cries and rescued me, otherwise I would have surely drowned.
But there is something that no-one else knows.
After that treatment I could do amazing things! I could move inaminate objects!
I could put out and create fires with ease. But my favourite, I could be invisible.
So now i'm a superhero, working with the C.I.A known only as 'The Princess'.
It's a massive secret, so it's just between you and me faithful readers.

ten things i hate about us.

I'm one of those people that complain alot.
I whinge, I whine, I moan and as much as I try to cover it up with lame distracting excuses like
"But i'm a cool kid! I have home-made Kurt Cobaine jeans that major chainstores have copied, but i'm cool because it's D.I.Y"

D.I.Y - Delusional Insolent Youth.
That's me all the way.

"I hate this electro-pop-synth-beat-emo music these days"
"Well sweetie why don't you listen to older stuff?"
"It sounds like, exactly the same?"

Our society is going round in circles. Harem pants, happy shoes,
80's is influencing everything. EVERYTHING!!

photo from the lovely beauty in the breakdown.

Entirely Unrelated Topid (EUT, really getting into the acronyms aren't I?) I can't wait to see the new Alice In Wonderland my and R, D, A, T and C are going to watch it for my birthday.Sorry for the ranting.

breakable elk and i.

I'm back from my time away,
but I've had a crazy amount of homework so it's taken me awhile to post again.

This picture was taken at the Asian Pacific Triennial 6 at GoMA, Brisbane.
The elk was created using glass balls by Japanese artist Kohei Nawa.
Have you seen it? No? WHAT?!!! GO! NOW!

A secoundhand store was having a sale and I got these pretty sandals for five dollars,
and I found these really really rreeeeaaalllyyy ah-mazing Dr. Marten-like shoes in
shiny vinyl and a pair in brown corduroy and they were the COOLEST THINGS EVER!

And my feet were a size too big. -insert here my tears-
Anyways, go and see the exhibition, soooo worth it.
For those in the Lovely Byron Bay Region, there is a vintage fair on at the B.B high school hall this saturday.
